The MYF Composite Bolted Design Flexitank™ converts a standard 20-foot sea container into a 24-ton bulk liquid transportation system. This food and pharmaceutical grade flexitank is suitable for the carriage of most types of non-hazardous liquids.
MYF Composite Design Flexitank is constructed of two independent food-grade 3-ply co-extruded PE tubes and a rugged, abrasion resistant outer woven PP jacket. It is capable of shipping up to 24,000 liters of bulk liquid.

MYF Composite Bolted Design Flexitank™ Food-Grade Stainless Steel Fittings
MYF flexitank can also incorporate an optional aluminum foil oxygen and moisture barrier in its design. This feature is unique to MYF flexitank and provides major benefits for customers who ship products that are oxygen-sensitive, such as wine and highly refined edible oils.
Another major design advantage is the exclusive stainless steel inlet / outlet fittings – shown above. These food-grade stainless steel fittings are blind bolted and torqued into place. It is designed to provide a bottom load and discharge for easy handling.
The stainless steel bolted fittings, the 3-ply co-extruded PE film and the woven outer jacket as combined in the composite unit are “patent applied for” and the strongest in the industry.
Importance of Air Vent Assembly
- Releases air induced during loading - Eliminates air space inside the flexitank for maximum load
- For sample taking purposes - Vent hose extends to the container door for easy sampling
- As a loading gauge - Product in the translucent vent tube indicates a full load
Safety Bulkhead
Wings and feet on the “Safety Bulkhead” hold the flexitank in the container even without steel support bars. Utilizes the bottom loading / bottom discharging “Safety Bulkhead”
