MYF celebrates success at COA/TUV Rail Impact Test
24 December 2010
MY FlexiTank celebrates its success in the recent COA (Containers Owners Association) Flexitank/Container Rail Impact Test at TUEV SUED Rail in Gorlitz, Germany on 15 October 2010.
The test, which is in accordance with the COA Recommended Code of Practice for Flexitank, calls for 4 separate impact tests, 3 of which are impact on the door end with one final impact at the opposite end.
The same MYF 24,000 liter capacity flexitank passed 4 separate impacts at 4.3km/h, 9.6km/h, 9.7km/h and 11.0km/h respectively without the flexitank leaking. Measured before and after testing, the bulkhead did not touch the container doors and the doors showed no permanent deformation. The change in length of the diagonals of container side wall corner castings measured after the test, amounted to 0mm.
MYF is proud of this achievement in view of the TUV/AAR rail impact tests carried out by most of the worldwide flexitank manufactures, with most failing the test with leakage right after the second or the third impact.
MYF is the world leader in bottom load/discharge flexitank with its exclusive stainless steel bolted flange design. MYF designed and manufactured flexitanks in its own manufacturing facilities in Malaysia. To sustain growth in the bulk liquid packaging industry, we believe in the reliability of our products by continuous efforts in the R&D and Quality Assurance.
MYF is currently on the flexitank suppliers approved list of all major Shipping Lines.
